Track across subdomains

Learn how to track users seamlessly across multiple subdomains with Vemetric.

Vemetric enables you to easily track users across your main domain and multiple subdomains. That’s especially helpful if you e.g. want to track users on your landing page located at example.com and your app located at app.example.com.

Setup

The only thing you need to do is to make sure that Vemetric is installed on all the subdomains that you want to track. Doesn’t matter if you use the HTML script or the NPM Package, because you pass the token of your Vemetric project, all the data of those domains will be aggregated in your Vemetric project.

Just follow the instructions on the Installation page for each of your subdomains and you’re good to go.

Visualization on the Dashboard

As soon as you have data from multiple subdomains, the page views on the Dashboard will also visualize the corresponding subdomain.

Filter by subdomains

The filtering system in Vemetric is very powerful. If you want to only see data from a specific subdomain, you can add a Page filter, set the Path to any, and specify the desired Origin like in the screenshot below.

You can also add multiple Page filters to see data from multiple subdomains at the same time.
